Another cannon boomed sending shudders and shockwaves through the arena, only two tributes remained standing in the middle of a river. The setting was a rainforest full of exotic animals and plants, ones which could hurt and ones which could help. A river trickled along the centre of the arena this year, clear drinking water which the career tributes had taken up for most of the games killing any tribute who tried to get near.
This has proven a good tactic for most of the games, until one of the career tributes revealed their true plan. When the District 1 male tribute ran off into the forest the others assumed he was going to find food but what they thought was clouded with doubts of what he was really doing. So they planned to kill him when he returned.
He didn’t for two days.
During his absence the cannon seemed to boom at least twice a day and the careers assumed once again it was him doing this. Killing off the others. But it was only when one of their own, District 4 girl, was murdered in her sleep they began to grow even more suspicious.
When the rain started to pour the next day the plan was revealed, three ran out the bushes towards the careers and began their fight. The District 1 boy was the leader of the other two and the District 1 girl ran to join him against her fellow careers. In the river as the rain smacked onto their skulls they fought.
It only took a few minutes for the numbers to slide down to two. The rain let up so the opponents could see one another, District 1 boy and the District 2 girl. They glared to one another panting heavily with blood stained on their clothes seeping through wounds they both had.
“You traitor” The girl spat to him holding an axe in her hands, the boy smirked to his fellow competitor a knife in his right hand.
“Only one can win” He replied laughing manically at the girl who stepped back a little trying to get her balance on the slippery rocks. As the boy ran forward he held up his knife, the girl looked up and also began to run towards him holding the axe high above her head. Pushing his arm forward he jammed it into her eye.
She let out a blood curdling scream kicking her leg out to hit his. It only took that little movement to send his foot back. He slipped falling forward letting go of the knife which stuck in the District 2 girl’s eye. Jumping back the girl opened her good eye slightly and looked to the boy who lay in the water in front of her.
Without a second thought she bought the axe up above her head swinging it down after a split second listening as he crashed into his skull. The cannon boomed moments later and the sky seemed to open above her. She looked up feeling the knife move within her skull. Letting out another scream she grabbed the knife and pulled it out throwing it to the ground and listening as a voice boomed out.
“Victor of the 34th Hunger Games, Cordelia Ransom of District 2!” Panem watched as the girl smirked to herself putting a hand over her eye and watching as the men came down from the sky and pulled her up and away to get patched up.
On all the televisions of all the Districts and the Capitol these moments were replayed, it was getting closer to the 35th Hunger Games. Soon another games would begin, soon another victor would be made.
The annual 35th Hunger Games is to soon begin. Districts are getting ready to submit two tributes from the ages of 12 to 18 for the annual fight to the death.
But in this story you, the reader, get too decided upon key details that are within the story.
The story will focus upon one tribute from a District which will be decided by you, other tributes can be submitted by you and the mentor(s) can be submitted by you. You get to help decide everything by voting systems.
You can sponsor different tributes and give them more advantage than the others, you can decide whether our main character survives the games or dies along with others.
If the main character dies then another character will be focused upon and it will move along until a victor is chosen by you.
So, do you want to help shape a game like no other?
If so stay tuned, voting for the first piece of information will shortly be posted.
The fate of the tributes rests in the readers hands.
